Job Summary (Essential Functions)Summary: The Education Health Initiative Administrative Assistant providessupport to Senior Leadership and is responsible for a wide range ofadministrative and educational program support related tasks workingindependently with little or no supervision.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties maybe assigned. Perform complicated scheduling and email management Provide other support and assistance with as necessary to increaseoffice efficiency and productivity Responsible for attending and taking minutes for various meetings Compile and distribute reports to management Handles general office duties Coordinate and monitor assigned projects and responsible parties toassure timely completion Interact with staff in a fast-paced environment, with specificdeadlines, remaining flexible, focused, proactive, resourceful and efficient Use expert level written and verbal communication skills, decisionmaking abilities and attention to detail in daily tasks Employee demonstrates knowledge of and adherence to the Compliance Planand conflict of interest requirements. The employee enhances theeffectiveness; efficiency and productivity of the department by contributingto, and participating in, departmental performance improve goals.QualificationsEducation: High School graduate, GED or equivalent in work experiencerequired.Work Experience: Minimum 3 years administrative assistant experiencepreferred.Language Ability:Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals,professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions fromgroumanagers, clients, customers, and the general public.Math Ability:Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest,commissions, proportions,percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply conceptsof basic algebra and geometry.Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concretevariables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability tointerpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram,or schedule form.Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge ofWord Processing software; Spreadsheet software and Internet software.Microsoft Outlook experience. Experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint,at minimum; keyboarding skills with accuracy.Physical DemandsThe employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Whileperforming the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required tosit.
