Cubic | NEK Services, Inc., is seeking an HME Instructor/Subject Matter Expert to assist in the development of HME and EOD related programs of instructions and curriculum, as well as design and fabricate any necessary training devices or aids. The ideal candidate will provide subject matter expertise that is current and valid.
Duties will include, but may not be limited to:
Provide EOD expertise in the development of C-IED, HME and EOD related courses.
Responsible for assisting in designing and teaching a curriculum that is contemporary and precise; requiring the candidate/instructor to conduct research and include development of new TTP’s related to HME/EOD requirements including, but not limited to, explosive mixes, perhaps some electronics and any related equipment.
Provide lecture, practical and tactical instruction in classroom, lab and outdoor environments.
Provide support to any ancillary NEK training requiring HME/EOD related expertise, as needed.
Assist in all facets of NEK's HME/EOD courses to ensure that all training is conducted safely and all required personnel and materials are available when needed.
Potentially assist in creation/fabrication of IED training aids, if and when needed.
Minimum Job Requirements:
Navy EOD School Certificate is highly desired.
Bachelor’s Degree, preferred.
Previous teaching experience is highly desired.
Candidates will have preferably completed one of the following HME Training Courses: NEK HME Level III, Sandia National Labs HME, Dugway Chemical Energetics Course.
Previous combat experience as an EOD Technician preferred, especially if in leadership role.
Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Must have 5 years minimum, but prefer at least 10 years of comprehensive EOD and HME operational experience.
Familiarity with and knowledge of electronics and integrated circuit boards.
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong proficiency in English.
Must have exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office Suite of Tools.
Must be a US Citizen.
Must possess and maintain a current Secret clearance.
