Are you ready to launch your career?ResponsibilitiesThe Aerospace Corporation is seeking a SBIRS Integration and VerificaitonSystems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering Acquisition and OperationsDepartment. This role will provide systems engineering and mission assuranceexpertise to space programs of national interest with an emphasis on ensuringthe successful transition from development to operations. They will beresponsible for analyzing and providing independent assessment of requirementscompliance and system performance through participation in a variety ofplanning, verification and technical management activities, andengineering support for the successful lifecycle management of operationalspace programs. Systems Engineeers work both independently and in teams as atechnical authority, consultant, primary investigator, and projectleader, and provide interface between customers and other governmentorganizations supporting both the customer and supplier, and Aerospacetechnical and management staff.KEY FUNCTIONSProvide requirements verification, testing and integration support for SBIRSHEO Operations Migration to Enterprise Ground Services (HOME)Provide systems engineering support to Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS)block testingProvide independent assessments of HOME agile development progress,requirements compliance and milestone readiness assessmentsEvaluate and review test procedures, witness tests and document test resultsaccurately and completelyParticipate in Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), Launch Dependency Reviews(LDRs), Tests (at various levels) and other key activitiessupporting milestone events as requiredProvide engineering support to integration & verification planning forfuture ground systems.Interact with all levels of Corporate, customer and contractor personnelQualificationsThis position can be filled as a SBIRS Integration and Verification SystemsEngineer or a Sr. SBIRS Integration and Verification Systems Engineer.Required Qualifications for SBIRS Integration and Verification SystemsEngineerBachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Engineering, Mathematics, orScience from a recognized institution8 or more years of relevant technical and leadership experience in spacesystem development, operations and/or software-based systems developmentand testingA current Secret/SCI clearanceDemonstrated acquisition, operations or sustainment experience with spaceforce enhancement (communications, situational awareness, indications& warning, navigation) or space intelligence software-based ground systemsExperience performing integrated/enterprise system software requirementsdevelopment, test or verificationDemonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work independently andeffectively with the government customers, contractors, other governmentorganizations supporting both the customer and/or supplier, and Aerospaceteam membersDemonstrated ability to coordinate projects between different organizationalentities and with multi-discipline teamsStrong oral and written communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skills and proven initiativeAbility to accommodate a flexible work location, to include regular presenceat Buckley AFB and Schriever AFB, COAbility to accommodate a flexible schedule including occasional weekends andovertimeAbility to travel is required.Prim
