Are you ready to launch your career?ResponsibilitiesThe Air Force Military Satellite Communications Systems Directorate(MILSATCOM) is responsible for an integrated system of satellites,terminals and control stations providing communications to aircraft,ships, mobile and fixed sites. The MILSATCOM portfolio of programs consistsof existing Protected and Wideband communications systems and emergingprograms across strategic, tactical and commercial satellite communicationsproAerospace's MILSATCOM Cyber and Systems Effectiveness (C&SE)department provides mission assurance and technical leadership in the areas ofcybersecurity systems engineering, manufacturing engineering, and otherspecialty engineering disciplines as well as for MILSATCOM acquisitions ofcryptography and key management systems. A part of the Cross-ProgramsEngineering and Operations directorate, C&SE provides lifecycle support toprograms across the MILSATCOM portfolio including program initiation,development, production, operations and sustainment. In this position,the applicant will provide cybersecurity and systems engineering support tothe MILSATCOM Division focusing on engineering tasks for MILSATCOM programs inthe sustainment and operations phase. The position will be based at or willrequire substantial co-location at Peterson AFB.Key FunctionsEnsure appropriate use of security/cybersecurity processes and practicesduring development and operations, and provide leadership to cybersecurityIPTsWork closely with sustainment and operational communities to assess and defineresponses to emerging cybersecurity risks, reaching out to develop smallproject teams across program office and ETG (Engineering & TechnologyGroup) personnel as necessary.Participate in the development of Tactics, Techniques and Procedures tocounter emerging threats, the identification of material gaps that hindermitigation approaches, and the development of requirements to closeidentified material gaps.Coordinate the integration of cybersecurity products and requirements intosustainment contracts, systems engineering documents, IPTs and processes.Assist in translating lessons from the operational environment intocybersecurity requirements, architecture and processes for emerging programs.Define and mitigate risks to programs or across program boundaries,coordinate support across program office and ETG organizations, and supportother duties as required.QualificationsRequiredBS/BA in an appropriate technical discipline (engineering, science,mathematics, computer science), OR a BS/BA from an accredited schooland coursework/certificate in information systems security10 years of professional experience are requiredMinimum of 5 years experience working with DoD cybersecurity or space programsMinimum of 5 years experience in systems security engineering or cybersecuritydisciplines (examples include: defensive cyber operations, requirementsengineering, verification, test, or risk management)Experience in information assurance, cybersecurity and communicationssecurity practices, and pertinent directive and statutory documentsExperience with the application of communications security technologies,including cryptographic systems and key management and authentication systemsCurrent Top Secret/SCI clearanceAbility to travelPrefe
